PON Transponder
Product Overview
HYD Technology has designed the PON Transponder, which helps resolve the issue of the transmission distance in the PON system and uses OEO to shape and amplify the signal. It uses the downstream signal that helps extract the clock to retime the signal so that 3R amplification can be achieved and the signal is amplified effectively.
The issue of the transmission distance can be solved efficiently using this device and also it is used in multiple transmission methods which are remote in nature like fiber to the home and EPON access.
- It offers a maximum remote distance which is EPON having 40KM and GPON having 60KM.
- It also can support the signal wavelength conversion for PON and helps realize the WDM function.
- Power amplification of GPON, EPON, and other lines followed by transmission of services, which is transparent.
- It supports IEEE 802.3ah and other national standards.
- It can support 3R and offers to cascade PON signals on a multi-level basis.
- It has a single board that supports 4 channels and also PON signal telescoping for the 4 channels.
- It supports the SNMP-based unified network and network management methods like NetRiver and CLI.

Applications
PON stands for a passive optical network. The PON transponder by HYD Technology offers a system that helps ensure that the data in the optical transmission lines is transmitted efficiently, irrespective of the longer distance and faults in the transmission line.
