The 25G PON ONU SFP28 has been designed as an optical tracker, which is used for these ONU links on a single-mode fiber and covers a distance of around 20 KM. These transceivers comply with SFF-8402, IEEE 802.3ca, and RoHS.

These transceivers have some key features, which are as follows:
- It comes with a form factor SPF-28 which is hot-pluggable.
- It can support a bit rate of 24.883 Gbps and has a power dissipation rate of less than 3 watts.
- The maximum length it can cover on a single-mode fiber is 20 Km, and it has a power supply capacity of 3.3 volts, followed by a temperature range of -40 degree centigrade to 85 degrees centigrade.
- It aligns well with 25GS-PON and complies with RoHS.
- The transmitter is DML 1286 nm, and the receiver is APD 1358nm.
- It comes with single SC receptacles and an I2C management interface.
