RTXM166-501 10G EPON Symmetric ONU SFP + transceiver modules are supposed to be used in 10G EPON links with a length of 20 KM and are present on a single-mode fiber. These optical transceivers comply with some SFF-8432, RoHS, and IEEE 802.3av portions.

This optical transceiver is provided with many features, some of which are as follows:
- It is a hot-pluggable SFP and form factor with a bit rate supported amount of 10.31Gbps.
- The commercial case temperature range is 0-degree centigrade to 70-degree centigrade with a power dissipation of less than 2 watts.
- The power supply offered in the module is single and is of 3.3 volts with a maximum length coverage of 20 Km on single-mode fiber.
- It aligns with IEEE 802.3av and has a DFB continuous mode transmitter of 1270 nm and a burst mode APD receiver of 1577 nm.
- It is RoHS compliant, offers a management interface of I2C, and has single SC receptacles.
